Background:

Biomedical Engineering in Shanghai Jiaotong University, China.

Study from 2004 to 2008 for Bachelor of Engineering.

Research Area:

Modeling and computational analyze. Participate in algorithm and package developing.

Contribution to Projects:

Work as a intern in Yudong CAI’s group, participated in the project of classification of transcriptional factors in 2008-2009.

Work as a PhD student in the group of clinical genomic Networks from 2009 to present. Participated in developing a new approach for gene network reconstruction – NTW. Mainly I did the work of validation and package checking in 2009-1010. NTW is a network reconstruction method based on steady state data. We use ODE model to predict the gene interactions. Also perturbation in each experiment can be predicted. Results of validation show the algorithm is reliable.

And my work is still focusing on network reconstruction, with different data type and different statically models. We are involved in time-series data, which is more complex but contains more information. S-system is used to fit the data. The whole project is ongoing and we are going to apply the model to RA (Rheumatoid Arthritis) data.

Research interest:

I love digging information from limited data. Finding what’s hiding in the nature is interesting. Research for me is to try to find the rule of the real world and… let computer do it! Programming is awesome!

Personal interest:

Flute, billiard ball and PC games. Also… laughing!
