About Us
Pattern Recognition algorithms lie at the heart of numerous problems
in computational biology. Our research focusses on such pattern recognition
problems in biology, combined with a highly interdisciplinary approach to
modeling and solving biological questions.
The current work in our research group focuses on two areas:
- Computational Bioimaging: quantitative analysis of vibrational
spectroscopy and light microscopy images and
- Computational RNomics: studying non-coding RNA
evolution and developing gene finding algorithms.
The Pattern Discovery in Biology Group is headed by Dr. Axel Mosig as Principal Investigator.
