Students in the CAS PhD-program during their first year take extensive course work in molecular biology, biochemistry and genetics. In addition, PICB will offer the following courses for the PhD students to taken in addition, typically during the 2nd year:

Bioinformatics Algorithms
Human Evolutionary Genetics
System Theory
Computational Biology I: Bioinformatics algorithms
Computational Biology II: Advanced computational Biology

In addition the IMPRS students shall be offered soft skills courses in scientific English, presentation skills and writing.
