    研究领域  

Andrew E. Teschendorff教授实验室主要致力于从不同领域(比如图论/网络/机器算法/信号处理)的角度开发新的高级统计学算法,以此来帮助解决在癌症基因组学和表观基因组学中存在的显著问题。
我们尤其感兴趣于使用网络和数理统计技术以说明以系统生物学理论为基础的细胞分化以及在复杂疾病比如癌症中该生物学过程所产生的变化。我们正在开发一个基于数理统计和网络论的方法,来帮助辨认在分化/癌症/药物抵抗中的核心信号路径和节点。
网络和图论的另一应用是综合处理高通量多维度组学数据。 比如,最近我们已经使用相互作用组和调控网络将表观遗传学的和基因表达的数据整合,以找到与癌症和老龄化相关的功能性表观遗传学驱动元件。我们正在继续开发“系统表观遗传学”方法。
此外,我们也做了大量与生物学家和医学家合作的基于数据分析的课题。一个核心研究方向是癌症风险预测和早期检测:我们处理大量DNA甲基化数据以检测是否DNA甲基化可以在疾病诊断前就据测出得病风险。另一个核心研究方向是改善癌症分子分类学,使用分子标签来辨别预兆性的癌症亚型。

Andrew E. Teschendorff教授于剑桥大学获得理论物理博士学位,目前担任中国科学院上海生命科学研究院计算生物学研究所计算系统基因组实验室研究员,并同时担任英国伦敦大学学院妇科癌症研究中心副研究员,以及英国伦敦大学学院癌症中心英国皇家学会牛顿高级研究员。
