Research
The main purpose of my project is to identify the genetic marker causing the difference of photoprotection recovery in 200 accessions of rice. This project will be divided on three main parts:
1- Spectroscopic study of the fluorescence parameters under high and low light treatment on these different accessions of rice.
2- Identify the genetic marker causing the response difference of these different accessions of rice to the light treatment.
3- Genetic engineering approach to increase the efficiency of photoprotection recovery in rice
